The BSV blockchain (BSV) community is open and inclusive to all, with people around the world using the protocol to develop new and exciting ideas and businesses every single day. Bitcoin Association is particularly proud of its Women of BSV community that supports women to master new skills, make friends, have fun and learn what BSV blockchain can do for them.
This was highlighted at the recent Women in Blockchain panel at the Future Blockchain Summit held in Dubai. Muhammad Salman Anjum (Head of the BSV Blockchain Association Hub for the Middle East and South Asia) hosted the panel, which included:
- Vasilisa Marinchuk (Director of International Relations and Engagements at the Centre Blockchain de Catalunya);
- Nouha Chbak (Business Development Manager MEA for SettleMint);
- Nahed Chbak (Marketing and PR specialist at InvoiceMate).
Protecting heritage and history with blockchain
Marinchuk noted that Barcelona has always been known as a city which focuses on new technologies and ideas, but that blockchain had failed to gain traction in the region for several years. The Centre Blockchain de Catalunya aims to address this by bringing together the government, business groups and public institutions to encourage adoption amongst citizens.
Marinchuk noted that the COVID pandemic initially provided an opportunity in the city of Girona to allow people to be tested in a pharmacy securely and store this private information securely on the blockchain. This data could then be stored as a QR code to gain access to areas such as restaurants or concerts.
She added that her team is now working on a new metaverse project based in Catalonia – highlighting the versatility of blockchain technology.
‘We really don’t want anybody to be left behind. Catalonia is a region which has a very strong sovereignty and a very different language and heritage. So to save all of that in a digital time we are creating a ‘Catverse’ which will preserve the culture and language of these people and give people the opportunity to learn about it without necessarily travelling to Catalonia.
‘This project will use the blockchain as a technology layer and give the opportunity to have property, art and tractions in this metaverse in an easy and cheap way.’
Blockchain made easy
SettleMint is the world’s most powerful in-browser blockchain development platform allowing users to rapidly build and deploy blockchain Web3 services, and mint NFTs with a low-code, user-friendly interface.
SettleMint offers ready-to-use tools, smart contract libraries and a full integration studio, allowing you to bring your use case to production in weeks.
‘For developers who want to create a blockchain project, they have everything ready to use. IIt’sjust about modification and tweaking the development to their needs. This means we are talking about weeks of development time rather than months or years,’ said Nouha Chbak.
Join the Women of BSV community
Those interested in learning more are encouraged to join the Women of BSV community which aims to uncover the truth about the world’s most misrepresented, suppressed, and under-valued asset – BSV blockchain.
The team holds monthly meetings to discuss specific topics such as the metaverse and NFTs, said Nahed Chbak.
You can also expect regular interviews with people and entrepreneurs in the BSV blockchain space who can show you how to get up and running and earn Bitcoin by demonstrating all the latest BSV apps and websites.
There are also several educational videos to assist in the general understanding of the BSV blockchain protocol and its associated legalities.
