Highlights: World Football Summit 2023 with Transmira and Zetly - Shaping Football's Future

The World Football Summit took place in Sevilla, Spain on 20-21 September 2023, showcasing some of the major changes coming to the beautiful game. More than 2,500 participants and more than 150 speakers attended this year’s event with topics including culture, gender equality, fan engagement and emerging technologies.

Two companies from the BSV blockchain ecosystem attended the event – Zetly and Transmira – who are closely working together to enhance fan engagement through the technology of digital twins, NFTs and the Metaverse.

Both companies were not only exhibitors at the event, but Mike Glijer, Founder of Zetly, and Robert Rice, Founder of Transmira, presented their vision of future fan engagement through digital twins and web3 in a panel discussion with other experts.

The 2023 World Football Summit in Sevilla was an inspiring event in the football landscape. They later went into technical details and the intricacies of realising a real-life Metaverse around football.
