The BSV Association is proud to announce the launch of its newest education platform – BitClass. Primarily aimed at the Chinese market, BitClass is a one-stop learning platform dedicated to the BSV blockchain, offering a series of scientifically designed and comprehensive learning resources suitable for people from all backgrounds.
The platform, which is open to users around the world, offers a range of different learning options, including text-based courses, video courses, technical documents and a BSV Wiki. The platform has specifically been designed in Chinese – while some courses are in both Chinese and English – so that learners can master the content in their native language but can also learn important blockchain terminology in English, said Bitclass Project Leader Lise Li.
‘BitClass is part of BSV Association’s Blockchain Innovation Programme (BIP) and is a milestone for BSV’s educational initiatives in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region,’ she said. ‘Big thanks to my team for working so hard on this project for the past six months. It will be a highly productive platform that will significantly advance BSV blockchain awareness and adoption in the APAC region.’
BitClass is open to everyone
BitClass caters to all learners interested in blockchain technology, regardless of their educational background, industries, or stage of learning. A range of courses which cover the fundamentals of the BSV blockchain and Bitcoin are available now, and there are plans to expand the curriculum in the coming months further. This will include the launch of a new Bitcoin Enterprise course, sCrypt technical courses (coding) and a Bitcoin Infrastructure course before the end of 2023.
Upon completion of each course, learners will be awarded a graduation certificate on BitClass. The BSV Association has also partnered with CSDN (China’s largest IT community platform) which will allow learners who complete certain courses to acquire an official certificate issued by CSDN.
Lise Li stressed that the platform is open to any interested student around the world and that it is free to sign-up and start learning on the platform. She added that the platform specifically supports registration through WeChat and Alipay to make the experience more user-friendly for Chinese users.
Plans to grow and expand
Lise Li said that her team already has plans to grow and expand the platform in the near future, which will include new courses and partnerships.
‘We are actively engaging in blockchain education partnerships to further enrich the forms and content of learning resources and allow learners to have more options,’ she said. For example, we are actively collaborating with sCrypt, a high-level smart contract language on BSV Blockchain, to bring their technical documentation and instructional videos to the platform,’
BitClass will also serve as an essential platform for her team to build additional educational programs and involve external partners. This includes a co-learning programme with Fudan University to study blockchain courses, Lise Li said.
She added that there is a significant appetite in the Chinese market to learn about the BSV blockchain and Bitcoin.
‘China is actively promoting the development of the digital economy, and blockchain serves as the underlying technology supporting this advancement. We see huge potential for blockchain utility in business which is why we launched BitClass. It will allow us to introduce the unbounded blockchain technology which is the BSV blockchain to people and companies in China.’
‘We launched two courses on CSDN last April and July, and we now have almost 2,000 registrations and hundreds of course registrations. With the launch of BitClass, we aim to onboard 8,000 learners in the next year.’
