The BSV Blockchain Association is pleased to announce that it will attend the upcoming Global Blockchain Summit in the Philippines. The Summit aims to showcase the country’s capabilities as an emerging hub for blockchain and other related technologies.

The two-day summit will be held on 26 – 27 October 2022 at the Bataan People’s Centre – Balanga City and will feature a range of thought leaders and innovators in the blockchain space. This will be followed by a ClickConex event on 28 October and a tour of Bataan on 29 October.

What to expect of the Global Blockchain Summit in the Philippines

The Global Blockchain Summit will bring together the country’s top blockchain experts, startups, associations, government agencies and global speakers to discuss the current and future state of the blockchain industry in the Philippines.

In addition to educational presentations and announcements, the summit also aims to open doors for business networking and collaboration among participants. This includes linking various government units, academia, and private sectors to shape a smarter, more inclusive, competitive and resilient digital nation.

Some of the key topics of discussion at the summit will include:

  • Regulatory challenges and responses;
  • Protecting decentralised digital technology by enabling reforms in the digital economy;
  • Developing human capital and equipping students with the right technology and educational skills;
  • Mitigating risks as an innovation roadmap in pioneering the digital economy and entrepreneurship.
  • NFTs;
  • Web3.0.

A landmark summit for the Philippines

Importantly, the summit will serve as a platform to help form the world’s first decentralised autonomous organisation (DAO) for a Blockchain Association in Asia, with plans to headquarter it in the Philippines. This forms part of a broader goal to establish the country as the world’s foremost Blockchain haven jurisdiction.

The BSV Blockchain Association sees the Philippines as a global blockchain and digital assets hub, with the Southeast Asian country recently ranking behind Vietnam in this year’s Chainalysis Global Cryptocurrency Adoption Index.
