The BSV Blockchain Association recently sponsored the first Unbounded Perspectives Event in Austin, Texas. The exclusive event, which took place on 9 March, was invite-only and featured some 100 investors including prominent venture and hedge fund managers, fintech and blockchain entrepreneurs, and institutional and family office professionals.
The event was set to coincide with the start of the annual SXSW festival and featured a day of talks and panels with Unbounded partners and founders, VCs, and investors who are involved in building the blockchain world. Participants were also given the opportunity to attend fireside chats and networking opportunities.
Several high-profile speakers attended the event, including:
- Angus Adams, COO of DXS App;
- Alex Agut, Co-founder and CEO of Handcash;
- Joe De Pinto, Co-founder of Haste Arcade;
- Joshua Henslee, Technical Advisor at Unbounded Capital;
- Andrea Kalmans, Co-founder of Lontra Ventures;
- Samira Salman, COO of Heathside Ventures;
- Kurt Wuckert, CoinGeek’s Chief Bitcoin Historian.
A fantastic blockchain event for networking
The event was also a fantastic opportunity to network and get one-on-one facetime with some of the biggest names in the industry. During the lunch hour, attendees had the opportunity to sign up to share the lunch hour with one of the founders presenting at the event or an Unbounded partner and just seven other people.
This forms part of Unbounded Capital’s goal to help promote a network and provide great opportunities for on-chain companies to meet experts and investors. The group envisions businesses leveraging scalable blockchains and playing a predominant role in shaping how people interact with and use the internet in the coming decades. It is also committed to working with and helping entrepreneurs achieve that vision.

Several presentations were given throughout the day by companies and start-ups focusing on how they are using BSV in their businesses.
