Centbee: Transforming digital payments with the BSV Blockchain

Centbee has a new partnership with Centi extending its payment network

At the recent London Blockchain Conference, we had the opportunity to sit down with Angus Brown, Co-Founder and CEO of Centbee, to talk about recent developments and their new partnership with the Swiss payment service, Centi.

Since its foundation in 2016, Centbee has served as a gateway for millions of customers to embrace the potential of the BSV blockchain. By offering a user-friendly BSV wallet, Centbee enabled people to send and spend digital money both locally and internationally.

The company’s commitment to simplifying the process of accessing and using the BSV Blockchain has contributed to its success. Brown recalls how they envisioned a world where BSV could be used for everyday transactions simply and conveniently.

Centbee’s impact on its users goes beyond mere speculation and investment. The platform has empowered its customers to utilise their money for everyday goods and services. From purchasing Amazon vouchers to paying for electricity and airtime, Centbee’s wallet has become a versatile tool for sending money to families in need and supporting students studying abroad.

Minit Money and convenient onramp and offramp processes

Centbee’s separate standalone app, Minit Money, has been a game-changer for remittances. Customers have embraced the platform to send money back home, resulting in thousands of successful remittances worth millions of dollars.

While full-scale adoption of BSV as digital money is still a work in progress, Centbee’s efforts in providing low-cost and rapid remittance solutions have made a tangible impact on people’s lives.

Recognising the importance of user-friendly interfaces, Centbee has concentrated on streamlining the onramp and offramp processes for its customers. Topping up the BSV wallet has been made simple, whether through cash payments at retail stores or instant transfers from bank accounts. This approach ensures that using BSV feels seamless and practical, appealing to a wider audience.

New strategic partnership with Centi will extend Centbee’s payment network

To further enhance its services and expand its reach, Centbee has forged a strategic partnership with web3 payment infrastructure startup, Centi. The collaboration with the Swiss-based Centi opens up avenues for customers in Switzerland to send money back to Africa and potentially Europe using blockchain technology. This partnership demonstrates the potential of blockchain in delivering innovative services to real people.

The partnership further extends Centbee’s vast portfolio, with thousands of products available in approximately 86 countries. The Swiss collaboration further facilitated its global accessibility. Users can now utilise their Centbee wallet for various purposes, ranging from sending money to family members to purchasing essential digital goods like airtime and electricity.
