Blockchain Innovation Programme

The BSV Blockchain Association encourages developers to sign up for its new Blockchain Innovation Programme, a 10-week course aimed at encouraging people to learn more about the protocol and become Bitcoin developers.

The programme, which is currently open for sign-ups in Uganda, is comprised of the three primitive courses currently offered by the BSV Academy, including:

The programme will also offer a new Intro to Bitcoin Development course. The course is an initiative by BSV Association, Satoshi Block Dojo and investment management firm CapitalSavvy.

‘Crypto is just a use case of blockchain. So we are teaching the right skills that can help you build projects across different industries. Not only the disruption in finance that we’ve seen,’ said Reginald Tumusiime, Founder and CEO of CapitalSavvy.

He added that students taking the course will have access to a learning portal developed by the BSV Academy.

‘What this now does, this infrastructure, it levels the playing field. It doesn’t matter anymore where you were born, where you work from, what your background is,’ said Patrick Prinz, managing director of the BSV Association.

‘Not even certification matters anymore, in my opinion. If you are driven, if you are motivated to use this, what I believe is a once in a lifetime opportunity to explore what this infrastructure can do and what it enables in terms of innovation, you will be at the forefront.’

A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity

Following the completion of the course, the developers from the initial cohort will be given an opportunity to pitch directly to Satoshi Block Dojo. One developer will then be selected to join the startup programme.

‘We will build out the idea that you come up with in the next ten weeks. We’ll take that a step further. We will look at how to take that into the real world,’ said Jay Gujral, Managing Director of Satoshi Block Dojo.

‘We want to take the theory and everything else that you know and make it real world. We want to start to make a change. We want to make it tangible and that’s where we’re coming at it from.’

A perfect fit for the BSV blockchain

The BSV blockchain’s unbounded scaling makes it a perfect fit for the programme.

Tumusiime said that CapitalSavvy chose BSV because few other protocols are focused on enterprise-grade solutions.

This was echoed by Evan Freeman, Director of Education at BSV Association.

‘There are great opportunities to build businesses based off of extremely low-value payments, which until BSV has been completely impossible,’ he said.

‘So when you bring such businesses and services to scale the opportunities to earn billions of dollars from a fractions of a cent can make even the most humble startups originating from the most austere conditions rival the greatest internet-based corporations today.’
