Businesses serious about making changes in their respective sectors don’t have the luxury of building on a blockchain that only addresses some of their needs or works some of the time, says Marcin Rzetecki, Market Adoption Consultant for the Bitcoin Association’s Technology team.
‘My main goal is to build a developer and business community in Central Europe. I try to show them how the BSV blockchain (BSV) is efficient for them. In the end, it doesn’t matter what blockchain you use, the blockchain should cover 99 -100 % of your functional and non-functional requirements,’ he said.
The blockchain of choice for developers
Rzetecki said he is particularly bullish about BSV blockchain’s future in Poland, not only because of the country’s strong technical and developers base but because of its strong startup culture as well.
‘BSV is a very scalable blockchain. The most important thing is that you can store all of (your businesses’) important information on-chain. That means if you minted NFT tokens, – combined with smart contracts, the metadata and the image – you can mint it all on-chain.
‘You don’t have to use an external storage solution such as the cloud. It’s a very efficient blockchain and it’s very useful for developers and businesses because of how trustworthy it is,’ he said.
Growing BSV blockchain’s reach
Rzetecki added that an impressive amount of work has been done by the Bitcoin Association in recent months to improve outreach and develop relationships in the region. This includes several solutions specifically geared towards developers – including a new Discord channel for members of the community and a specific forum dedicated to builders.
‘We are open to all developers and try to show them that BSV is a chain that is much more efficient than other chains on the market.
‘I think the most important in any blockchain ecosystem are the developers. And I think we have to (do more) to bring developers into the community so they can continue to build solutions. If we have more applications built on BSV then the adoption of BSV will just keep getting bigger.’
Your blockchain solution needs to work
Rzetecki noted that for the end-user, the choice of blockchain is ultimately not important as they are unlikely to be exposed to it directly.
‘But for the business, it’s very important as a solution. And the solution needs to be efficient, it must work, and it needs to cover 99 -100% of the functional and non-functional requirements of your application. And I think we can do that.
‘A lot of blockchains on the market are not efficient, which means it is very slow or very expensive. So your business risk is very high. So that’s why you should think about BSV blockchain.’
